Physical traits
Nightlight has flaming hair, like Ozzie, and a sun and moon themed jester look to him. His body is mostly like a regular imp’s, although he is taller and purple in hue.
Work & hobbies
He is close with both his parents though growing up in Lust didn’t suit him all that much and he ended up searching for something that was his own for a while.
He tried the jester gig for a bit, working at Ozzie’s, and even doing paperwork at one of Asmodeus’s factories but none of it fit. He just wasn’t an entertainer in the same way his parents are.
So, he ended up moving to Pride to follow his dream of writing and producing horror stories
He works in Pride on his own anthology horror podcast (think ‘Welcome to Night Vale”, “Alice isn’t dead”, or “The Magnus Archives”) and broadcasts this on his late night radio program in Pride
Personality
Nightlight is sweet and sensitive. A bit naive at times but he means well. He usually is a bit of a loner, not so much because he wants to be but because he isn’t very strong socially.
His actually a huge scaredy-cat and a coward but also LOVES creepy things and horror stories
FAMILY
Parents
Nightlight is very close to both Asmodeus and Fizzarolli, and loves them a ton. They support him in everything he does and though they were definitely worried about him moving to Pride they are proud of him for trying to find his own way.
They were disappointed he didn’t want to follow in their footsteps but recognise that it’s important for him to do things his way. They do worry that the podcast thing will never take off and that it’ll only lead to disappointment but are happy to see him making friends in Pride and even finding a wonderful partner (which they were initially very hesitant about but now fully accept as part of their family)
RELATIONSHIPS
General
Nightlight is shy and not very good at meeting new people. As calm and confident as he is by himself behind the mic, as awkward he gets around people.
He also tends to not be super sexual and has not dated much, until he met Amaryllis
Amaryllis
He visits creepy locations and ‘haunted’ spots throughout Hell for inspiration, despite the fact that he is scared shitless It is on one of these outings that he catches the eye of Amaryllis (RadioDust kid) and starts being haunted (and protected??) by her
Eventually, being scared of her morphs into being nervous bc he’s so head over heels and she becomes a huge inspiration for his stories
Cecil
Nightlight has found a friend and mentor in Pride in Cecil, who, as a novelist, helps him with his writing and who also has an extensive collection of haunted and cursed items to impress a certain creature in a princess dress in his life that he has a crush on
