Physical traits
Ginkgo looks very similar to his brother, although he is slightly slimmer in build and a fraction shorter. Instead of being plant-based, like Oleander, he is a ball-jointed doll.
His skin is a pale green and his hair a darker shade.
Both his make up and clothes usually have some type of ‘circus’ theme going on and he also always references a venus flytrap in his outfit, as a nod to his brother.
His lower arms are actually very thin and function as spools for a special type of thread, like a marionette. He uses this thread to bind and subdue people when needed, or hoist himself up onto buildings, away from danger. He can also latch them onto another person, puppeteering them.
Personality
Ginkgo is cruel and selfish. He has a deep rooted obsession with his brother, who he feels ‘owes’ him his love.
He acts a certain way because he’s been told his whole life that he was a monster and now he feels like he needs to protect himself by being exactly that.
He can be very sweet, slightly awkward, when he’s trying to seem harmless. Personally, he believes that’s a mask he can put on or take off when it suits him but in reality that is the real him and the narcissistic, cruel part is the mask he’s developed. This doesn’t mean that he’s not a cruel person but that he’s trying desperately to pretend that that’s all there is to him.
Work & hobbies
Ginkgo is a very talented hacker and uses his skills to collect information which he sells to the highest bidder.
He also uses this talent to keep an eye on his brother at all times, stalking him, and keeping track of the people he associates with.
He owns a ton of very nice but soulless safe houses across Pride but doesn’t have a ‘home’
HISTORY
Life
Ginkgo grew up with his twin brother Oleander in a very abusive situation. The twins had to learn to fend for themselves early on and depend only on each other.
They got into a lot of illicit businesses and took on a variety of dangerous job. Oleander’s love for plants and Ginkgo’s tech savvy nature got them in as many dangerous situations as it got them out of.
Death
After Ginkgo killed Oleander’s lover in a fit of jealousy and Oleander was executed for it, Ginkgo ruined the lives of everyone involved before taking his own life
RELATIONSHIPS
General
Ginkgo has a very complex and fucked up lovemap. He is cruel and disinterested in people, unless they have a connection to his brother.
He is very quick to discard people who have served their purpose and are no longer useful to him, with his only focus being his brother.
Oleander
He grew up with his brother, being entirely dependent and focused on him and watching in horror when Oleander was executed in his stead, defending him until the very end.
Ginkgo never gave up on chasing his brother though and in Hell, though Oleander tries to keep him at a distance, Ginkgo finds ways to pull him back in.
When Oleander started dating Dahlia, Ginkgo swooped in an stole her. She is now desperately in love with him but he lost interest entirely, being cruel and dismissive towards her. She is still friends with Oleander though so he uses her as his connection to his brother, having her put up camera’s and spy equipment so he can keep an eye on him.
Magnum
Ginkgo would do anything to have his brother again, entirely to himself, and ended up kidnapping Magnum, the moment it became clear that Oleander had fallen in love with him.
However, things do not pan out as he had hoped and instead he too ends up developing feelings for the demon.
In his cruelty to have and posses whatever his brother has, he does assault Magnum on multiple occasions and has trouble reconciling his emotions with who he’s always believed he was.
