Gender is an ever changing thing for Van and ‘gender fluid’ might be the best term to describe their identity. He doesn’t really ever feel at home in a singular identity or presentation for long and stopped trying to pin it down a long time ago.
Van is just Van.
Sexuality
Van is pansexual and also happens to be a total slut. He views sex as something casual, is very liberal with their attraction, and even uses it to combat boredom or to kill some time. “It’s like takin’ a walk, it’s good for your health”
Van has a high libido and drive but gets bored easily
She’s demi/panromantic. In the end someone’s gender or parts don’t matter at all but romantic feelings take a while to develop and only come after having a strong bond with someone already.
Van is polyamorous and doesn’t believe in monogamy as a concept.
Van is happy to change her body to accommodate a (sexual) partner as long as it’s in good faith and for fun. If someone ruins it or demands she stay a certain way when they’re around, he will change into something they’d absolutely hate
Work/hobbies
The porn studio Van works for, Hard Candy, makes gritty, alternative films that lack the smooth production quality of Val’s films. They’re basically a collective of punkers and anarchists that want to stick it to Valentino and they have a lot of fun doing so
The films sell reasonably well because you can /tell/ that they’re having fun and are genuinely into what they’re making.
Their video’s are rough but honest and the content is often intense, very kinky, and very hot. Val fucking hates the studio and the fact that their films are kind of good.
Van loves working for that studio and actually got a lot of encouragement from Angel to work in the industry in a safe-ish setting. He gave Van valuable tips to do so in a smart way
Being able to change their body or turn into other people entirely has been very valuable in Van’s career and on more than one occasion did the studio have to burn a lawsuit from Voxtek for using someone’s likeness in a film (like having ‘Valentino’ star in a humiliating degradation film)
Personality
Van is extremely outgoing and enthusiastic, albeit a tad unfocused and easily distracted, but she’s not to be messed with. He has clear boundaries that they’ll communicate and enforce when not respected, with copious amounts of violence if necessary
They have a HUGE sweettooth and a very high metabolism so he’s ALWAYS down to eat something
Big fan of alcohol and drugs, preferably weed. Doesn’t really smoke otherwise

Birth
Van’s name came from Cherri. When she first saw him after they were born she exclaimed “It looks like a fuckin’ Vanilla/Strawberry swirl!”.
It’s a wild name and Van loves it
Van grew up causing mayhem with Cherri and spending a lot of time as a kid helping Pen in the workshop with his inventions. The result is an unregulated ADHD-er armed with explosives and the know-how to build shit, running around unsupervised

Cue
Van and Cue have been friends for years. They have sex on occasion but in a very easy-going, platonic way. Often it’s in the spirit of: “you’re pent up, I’m bored, want me to suck your dick?”
Neither is romantically interested in the other and they’re not possessive over each other at all.
Cue gets annoyed sometimes bc Van refuses to give into their specific desires, like turning into Angel or Val, or partaking in any harder kinks with them.
Not bc of any moral stance or because they’re not into those kinks but because he just doesn’t want to with Cue
She has gotten Cue to write scripts for their studio every so often. Cue loves sticking it to Valentino as much as Van does (if not more) and the studio gets some decent scripts out of it
Astar
Van sleeps around and bounces between different people but over time ends up falling, hard, for Astar, who works at the studio in the costume department
It starts out as an immediate, mutual attraction and sex on every surface of the studio, but it doesn’t take long before the others at the studio notice that there might be more there (like for example that Van’s performances are way hotter when Astar happens to be on the filming floor) so they start coming up with reasons to leave them both alone and begin setting them up on dates. Despite fucking for a long time already the both of them get very shy and flustered when actually having quality time.
Astar has a lot of walls put up from past hurt and Van tends to not want to be tied down but eventually they cannot deny the chemistry and start dating.
They’re adventurous together and immensely supportive of each other.
